“Contributing to a positive development of AI”

Current Competition

Can transformers (an AI model used by ChatGPT) contribute to better sleeping quality?

The Child Mind Institute has opened a competition to predict a child’s sleep state, which contributes to a deeper understanding of sleep disturbances for children. Our engineers immediately set to work, but will the transformers be the winning strategy, or are there more efficient ways?

Our Story

We are Epoch IV, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Dream Team from the TU Delft. We are driven students dedicated to winning challenging and groundbreaking AI competitions.

AI is on the rise. It’s seen everywhere in the news and the TU Delft has chosen AI as the theme of this academic year. Within a year, ChatGPT gained over 100 million users. People are seeing the potential of AI and the applications are growing day by day. It is powerful, faster than humans, and applicable on a large scale. The growth of AI can also bring up worries. Will it be “too smart”? Can we control it? Is it in good hands? These are important questions for which we will need to find an answer in the near future. Our mission is to contribute to a positive development of AI. We accomplish this by building AI models that contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We train ourselves to become moral and experienced engineers and work together for a better world.
